Carla Sánchez E.

Carla is a Senior Partner at COREip Attorneys in Mexico City with over 19 years of experience in intellectual property matters such as trademarks and copyrights. She began working at the Mexican Trademark Office (IMPI) in 1996 where she occupied several positions, being the last one the Trademark´s Underdirector. She was in charge of granting trademarks and trade names, and issuing resolutions related thereto. Moreover, one of her main duties was to advise the users of the Mexican Trademark Office over the process and granting of registries, as well as matters related to the use and conservation of rights arising from the trademarks, trade names and slogans.

Before joining COREip Attorneys, Carla was one of the founding partners of Easymark, where she advised all sorts of clients and companies.

Carla obtained her law degree (JD) from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

She has participated in several national and international forums as lecturer with special emphasize in the registry and protection of trademarks. She also represented the Mexican Trademark office in several international forums at the World Intellectual Property Organization and many other trademark and patent offices around the world.
